This is where it all begins....

• You have a starter, alternator or other unit that doesn't work your first port of call is to bring it down to us
  

• Next we will test the unit to ensure it is faulty giving a honest and trustworthy diagnosis
  

• If it tests ok we will give the unit a quick health check and get you on your way
  

• If it tests faulty...... well that's where the magic starts
  

Stage 1

• Your unit gets carefully stripped down to the bone
  

• Repair costs get estimated to ensure it is economical to repair or exchange
  

• Every component is tested stringently and the ones that pass will be reused
  

• Faulty and worn parts are then disposed of to be recycled
  

Stage 2

• All parts are washed in degreasing agent and jetwashed to remove dirt, grime & Oil
  

• Brackets are then sand blasted to remove paint and then shot blasted to provide a "new metal" finish
  

• Other parts are cleaned using various other methods; lathe, wire wheel and a bit of elbow grease
  

Stage 3

• This is where all the nice new shiny bits come into play
  

• Using the best quality parts from the leading manufacturers
  

• All parts that require replacing will be replaced with new
  

• 9 times out of 10 we will have the parts ready in stock to provide you with the quickest possible turnaround, failing that next day delivery is almost certain.
  

• Even the most obscure units will be catered for, but in the occasional circumstance that a part is obsolete we have the skills and tools to manufacture a part for your unit
  

Stage 4

• Finally everything starts to come together the recon unit is starting to take shape
  

• New bushes are fitted, new rubbers are in, moving parts lubricated and greased and nuts and bolts are tightened
  

• Everything is put together with the utmost care, this is to ensure nothing is misplaced and everything is just right giving you that top reliability we are well known for, far surpassing the quality of cheap Chinese copies
  

Stage 5

• The unit is now reborn!!!
  

• Once the unit has come together every nut is tightened just right to ensure nothing comes loose
  

• The unit is then thoroughly bench tested on our test station, this provides us with feedback on the unit ensuring that it passes our quality control
  

• Once complete its off to the spray booth!
  

Stage 6

• Time for that nice shiny unit to get a well deserved lick of paint to help protect the unit from the harsh working environments and weather
  

• The unit is masked off to keep the required parts paint free
  

• A nice coat of primer to adhere the paint
  

• Finally a good coat of paint! Matte black for our starters, grey for our large alternators and just a bare metal finish to our alternators (for earthing reasons)
  

• Now for you to take you warranted unit and get it working, unless its destined for our shelves if its a stock unit
